![]() The horn worked but would not turn off until I unplugged the two harnesses from each other at the steering column. So I repaired the cut Black wire on the turn signal switch harness and plugged the vehicle harness and the turn signal switch harness back together. ![]() Looking at wiring diagrams in my manual I can see the black wire coming from the horn relay is the ground. While trying to do this I noticed that the black wire on the turn signal switch harness on the column was cut. I was trying to install an aftermarket horn because my original was missing when I bought the jeep. The black wire coming from the horn relay has continuity with the black wire on the vehicle harness but the turn signal switch Harness has green wires in the slot where the black wire should be. I think my turn signal switch may be the wrong type. Can anyone tell me or show me via a picture what a correct turn signal switch harness and vehicle wiring harness meeting together looks like? In terms of seeing the different colors of wires meeting up together when the two harnesses are connected. I could smell what I thought was hot or burning plastic At the relay and discovered the relay was extremely hot. ![]()
